This was the poster I analyzed

Analysis of poster

Slumdog millionaire was released in 2008 on the 9th of january.

This type of poster is a teaser poser because it does not contain information about the production personnel and the stars also the distributors.

From this poster we see that the film has something to do with who wants to be a millionaire because we can see a the who wants to be a millionaire question template on the poster asking the question what does it take to find  a lost love and the options money, luck, smarts and destiny these are all things that link into the film. We see the boys head in the background and we see the girl running towards something she could maybe be running towards him or away from something. we can tell this film.

The layout of this poster is fairly simple. the main character has the biggest spot in the poster with his head being on the top. The girl has the second most important person so she is shown on top of the boy but smaller. The main thing that we are meant to notice is the question which is why the color purple was used so it could stand out from the dark and underneath we see who the producer is and what the title of the film is. they are laid out like this so we know what is more important. It is done in portrait. This poster has been made using dtp because all the images are from the computer and shots from the film.
